Kind of ran out of time this week. I didn't get a very good opportunity to capture an inspiring shot. I wanted to capture the essence of the cold in contrast with the warmth of being indoors. I was running around in the snow tonight trying not to freeze to death while attempting to capture a fantastic image. It's not quite what I was envisioning - I think it could be greatly improved with the addition of a child's face peering out the window. But, it's what I got, and I was getting too cold to really care, so here it is in all its glory.
Just a little bit of technical stuff: The light inside is actually a wireless strobe set to 1/16 power. The light was placed a bit high to give the impression of lamplight and to bring a little depth to the snow on the sill. I set the camera for a long exposure to capture what little ambient light there was outside the window.
My hope is to have more time this next week to devote to my weekly photo. We'll see what I can come up with...
