BW Project Week 23

ISO 100 | 195mm | f 4.0 | 1/1000 sec

Quick abstract today.  Ran out of time this week to get my weekly photo in, so I took a quick shot of this ladder on the side of a grain silo as I was cruising through Moro, OR.

The shot is pretty simple.  The only thing that brings the slightest bit of interest is the shadow stretched across the wall, bringing a sense of depth and shape to the ladder.  The dark, heaviness on the left of the image is counter-balanced by the light on the right in addition to the shape of the primary object, thus retaining the viewer's eye within the frame.

If this post seems a bit disjointed, it's probably because I got up at 7:30 this morning, was on the road for five hours today, spent the majority of my afternoon/evening prepping for a wedding shoot for tomorrow, and I'm currently up right now (12:45am) attempting to put the finishing touches on this post and sum up the last-minute details for the shoot tomorrow (or rather today, I guess).

Anyways, I hope to possibly have some pictures from this weekend's wedding to share soon.  And hopefully another black and white photo next week (if I can make time for it).
